Sabine Neugebauer (Central Support): The work model has changed in such a way that we are working more and more in a hybrid way.

Detlef Romanowski: You can see that you can do quite a lot with a video conference, but when it comes to having a kind of crunch time, discussing things without any latency, making that work is a big challenge. You must ensure that something like this runs smoothly. So the requirements were: It must work and be lightweight.

Sabine Neugebauer: I think it's very user-friendly, easy to use and clear, and it's simple to book a spot.

Detlef Romanowski: There was no feedback like: Oh, now I have to do this too. It was easy.

Sabine Neugebauer: With three floors, it's not easy to see where colleagues are. I check the plan. You quickly see which spot is free or taken and by whom.

Detlef Romanowski: You have an overview of the statistics for the week. I can't do without that.

The challenge

PPI AG has been developing software solutions and consulting services for banks and insurance companies for over 40 years. Today, around 800 employees work at seven locations in Germany. The working model at PPI has also changed significantly in recent years. More and more employees are working hybrid, between home office and office. However, despite digital tools such as video conferencing, it quickly became clear that on-site presence remains essential for intensive phases and spontaneous coordination. To make it easier to coordinate attendance, PPI has introduced desk.ly. The software allows employees to book their workspace flexibly - intuitively and without any detours. Even with several floors and a large number of users, the application remains clear and easy to understand.

The visual display of occupancy and attendance creates transparency. Teams can see at a glance who is on site and which spaces are available. The weekly occupancy rate can also be tracked, which makes planning even easier.
