Desk sharing & collaboration

 

The 350 employees of the Sievers Group are spread across multiple buildings and floors. Not everyone is always in the office, as some work from home or are on-site with clients.

To accommodate the staff's desire for flexible working, the Sievers Group introduced the concept of desk sharing. Employees can choose their desks freely or within the area designated for their department. This transformation has turned the office into a hub of collaboration and teamwork. Sievers places great importance on one-to-one team interactions.

 

"Space is something that costs us a considerable amount of money each year. [...] It's always about finding the right balance between days that are heavily booked and those that are not. Equipment and features

 

To provide employees with a comfortable and productive working environment at every location, all desks have been equipped identically, and their features have been recorded in desk.ly. Additionally, lockers are available in the corridors for employees to store their personal belongings.

Workplace Management Software

 

To organise desk sharing, the Sievers Group uses desk.ly. Through the software, employees can flexibly book their workspace and gain an overview of which colleagues they can interact with on-site. The software allows employees to:

  • Coordinate who is present in the office and when.
  • Book their workspace – custom features make selection easier.
  • Provide Sievers with real usage data to further develop the office and save costs.
