How to create permanent bookings?
With booking rules you can create permanent bookings.
Some employees in your office have a permanent desk, but you still want them to be visible to their colleagues in desk.ly? You can achieve this by setting up booking rules for recurring bookings. This way, a fixed workspace is permanently reserved for specific people. Recurring bookings offer you several additional benefits:
- The booking appears on the floor plan as usual, and the person can be easily found by their colleagues using the search function.
- You can also set up automated reminders for the person, so they can cancel their booking if they don’t need their desk on a particular day.
- Even if you’re using an HRIS integration for desk.ly and synchronising absences (such as sickness or holidays), the desk will automatically be released for others during those periods.
- You can create permanent bookings for all resource types including meeting rooms and parking spaces.

Here's how it works
Deleting and archiving booking rules
Has the booking rule not yet been activated? Then you can simply delete it if it is no longer needed.
Has the booking rule already been activated? In this case, simple deletion is no longer possible, as this could lead to skewed analytics. Instead, you can archive rules that are no longer required. The rule will no longer take effect, but your analytics will remain intact.
